Why are we so cheap | How does it work | Give me an offer price | How are our fees calculated |
Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: How do you calculate my accountancy fees? A: Whether or not you subscribe to one of our monthly accounting packages, broadly speaking, your accountancy fees are determined by the following four factors only: We do not charge our clients on a hourly basis, nor do we charge them on a turnover or profit basis. Your accountancy fee is objectively calculated based upon the factors mentioned above to ensure you get a fair price from us. Q: Is the monthly fee I get from you a monthly fixed fee, or does it vary from month to month? A: Yes, it is a monthly fixed fee. Once you monthly fee is "fixed", it will remain unchanged for 12 months and will be reviewed or recalculated, if necessary, after the 12-month period. Unless there are significant changes in the four factors (mentioned above), on which the calculation of your monthly fee is based, your monthly fee will be "fixed" for 12 months. Q: Are there any set-up fees and admin fees in your accountancy service? A: No. Our pricing policy is simple - one monthly fixed fee covers absolutely everything we can do for you. We do not charge set-up fees and admin fees for our accountancy services, nor do we charge other fees such as disbursements and Companies House filing fees. When we give you a quote of £17 per month, say, it covers all the bookkeeping and accountancy services required for your business on a regular basis. Q: If I don't live in London, can I still use Abbi Becka as my accountant? A: Of course. Q: Do I have to meet my accountant face-to-face? A: You don't have to meet your accountant face-to-face. As soon as you have requested a quote from us (via "Give me an offer price") (see below), phone, email etc), you will be contacted by us on phone or by email and get a quote from us. Once you have confirmed you are happy with our quote, we will email you a welcome pack and you can start sending us all the business stuff we need to do your bookkeeping and accounts. If you have any questions regarding our accountancy services or your business, you can always contact us on phone or by email and we will answer your queries as promptly as possible. Likewise, if we need further information to do your bookkeeping, accounts and tax returns, you will be contacted by us via phone or email. If you live in London where we are based, we can arrange for a face-to-face meeting with you if you want. Q: How should I use "Give me an offer price"? A: "Give me an offer price" provides a means for you to work out a quote for your business within a matter of "milliseconds" and if you like our offer quote, you can accept our offer by providing your details to us. To use "Give me an offer price" and get an offer price from us, please follow the following steps: Q: What do you mean by monthly fixed fee? A: In most cases, a "monthly fixed fee" means a fee which is fixed in advance and is payable on a monthly basis. However, there are circumstances where you might need to pay more than one "monthly fixed fee" in one go. Suppose you are running a business with an accounting year end at 31 March. Assume you start trading before 1 April 2015 and you approach us on 15 August 2015. We agree that the monthly fixed fee for your business would be £30. However, you have not done any accounting work for your business since 1 April 2015 and, as a result, we need to catch up with it. We would therefore need to do five-month work as quickly as possible in order to catch up and would raise an invoice for the accountancy service we provide with regard to this five-month period. Hence, the first invoice you receive from us would be for the amount of £150 (£30 × 5) and you would receive an invoice from us each month from September 2015 onwards for £30 per month. Q: Is there any minimum contract period? A: No, there is no minimum contract period. However, you are required to give us a 30 days notice if you decide to leave us. Q: What do you mean by "the number of business transactions per annum"? A: When determining your accountacy fees, we will ask you to give us a reasonable estimate of the number of business transactions of your business per annum. A transaction has occurred when: We only need a very approximate estimate, don't spend too much time working it out. A: If the discrepancy is small, it may be ignored. However, if the discrepancy is very significant, which is rare, we will discuss it with you and the discrepancy may be taken into account when we decide the monthly fee for the forthcoming year. |
